Ms. Barfield is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University and Christopher Newport University. She has worked with diverse populations including the elderly; service members and their families; victims of domestic violence; and college students. She began working with HMHA as a community based counselor in 2020 and then became a clinical supervisor for community based services in 2022 while also providing outpatient therapy services to patients.
